Magic Easter Eggs

Today's Easter art project is simple, but brings a wow with it. Easter eggs remind us birth and rebirth which is an essential lesson of Easter, so let's do some more egg art. This is a crayon resist project, but mostly it is just fun!

Draw and/or cut out plenty of oval eggs, as large or small as you like, as it is fun to do lots of these.   Using a white crayon, drawn designs on the eggs, squiggles, zigzags, lines, circles or just about anything your talent allows. Your artwork will be invisible at this point.

Your children won't be able to see the crayon, but your designs will show up when they paint the egg with water colors. It is like magic! If your children are old enough, they can use the crayon to make some designs (if they are frustrated with using white, they could use yellow so they will have a hint of what they are drawing). Invite them to secretly draw on an egg for you, and you can paint and bring the decorated egg to life.

And, as we face some more rain this week, I invite you to check out the blog from March 23rd, Rainy Days and Mondays for some good ideas for those kind of days.
